I suggest a read of the manuals are your best bet, but to quickly get to command prompt use "root" as you username.
Title: Question too simple

I searched the manual but I think the question was actually too simple  . Anyway, you solved my little problem.

But - how to get to the command prompt on a headless server from the server-manager? Server is up an running and now I have to install some software.

Sorry if the answer will be obvious again.

You will need to enable remote ssh from within the server-manager > remote access once you have enable ssh to can then download PUTTY (google is your friend) to access a remote SME Server via ssh.
