The system needs to be reconfigured after adding or removing software, or applying updates.
Please click on the Reconfigure button at the bottom of this page to start the reconfiguration process. An automatic reboot will be initiated as part of this reconfiguration process
But the update seems to be done anyway so i did click to "Reconfigure", the server reset, all ok, but when i go to server-manager again i have the same updates to do, so the eirler update was not done, i repeat the process 3 times, and i cant get my system update, the only problem during update are the pasted on bold font. Can somebody helpme?
thks

I confirm, just follow this simple steps:
yum clean all
...this will clean some yum conf files and will reload the newest one from web
yum upgrade
... this will start to dig for latest updates/upgrades available on net, will download the headers for these packages then will propose you to Install/Upgrade those packages.
I have SME 7.1.3 and the download size is about 71M.
Good luck!

So update from 7.1.3 to 7.2 is simply done by
# yum upgrade
?
No fresh install, no problems?
If I do not upgrade to 7.2, what are the problems I might face?
I ask this as it is essential for me, that the server works stable. As I administrate it over a far distance via VPN, I cannot simply go there and reinstall, so I need a reliable system.
Thank you in advance.

I am not an expert in linux, nor an real sysadmin, all I've done was to follow and test some upgrade instruction that said that if you have trouble upgrading to 7.2 just do a yum clean all then yum upgrade.
The upgrade procedure takes about 15min, but will depends on your system and Inet connection.
The upgrade was clean, smooth, it just work without any trouble.
But always, make a backup before ;o)

Yes! It just worked well.
Server upgraded, rebooted and was available again with all the settings I made before :-)
Nice work. Big thanks to the SME server team. Keep doing such a good job.

Same here updating from 7.1.3 to 7.2:
- unable to "yum update" or "yum upgrade" (error on fontconfig-2.2.3-7.centos4.i386.rpm)
- yum clean all
- yum upgrade
Install: 32 package(s)
Update: 111 package(s)
Download: 72M
- signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot
(Note: same behavior on a second system, except 31 packages to install and 112 packages to update...)

I had exactly the same problem - managed to work around it mostly by installing only selected updates, but the SpamAssassin one just wouldn't go. The above mentioned method worked just fine.
Thanks!
