Title: Change user password from client
Post by: antares2001 on July 26, 2007, 01:36:15 PM
Hello!

Is it somehow possible to enable password change for the user from the windows client?

After a user is logged in, Windows (and normaly Samba) offer the possibility to change the password after pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL.

With SME this does not work for me. It always rejects the password although it is accepted if I change it in the Web-UI.

Any idea how to get this solved?

Are you running as a DOMAIN controller ? If so what is the length of the password your trying?

Yes - it is running as domain controller. The password is eight characters long and contains small letters, capital letters, numbers and interpunctional characters. So it fits the criteria that it is accepted from the web interface.
