Good Day
An unusual request but I wanted to know, as SME is available as a full ISO distribution, is it possible to convert a current CentOS 5 Server into SMEServer??
That is I can download smeserver.rpm files and make my CentOS 5 Server a SME Server??

As far as I know that's the scope of the sme8 development project.
Can you do it now ? It would require a lot of work to become functional. Who would finish first, you or the current dev team ?

If you think that's rude then you have a strange understanding of english.
Can you do it now ?
A simple question
It would require a lot of work to become functional.
A statement answering the question.
Who would finish first, you or the current dev team ?
A question, with an implied meaning that the poster probably had minimal understanding of the complexity of the task, and that the dev team had a lot of expertise in comparison, so they would probably finish first and that will still be a long time away.
Nothing rude there.

The answer is actually Yes (that's what the devs are working on now), but it will require a LOT of work integrating smeserver into CentOS5, so make sure you let the devs know when you have finished as it will save them the job.
Seriously if you have the skill set needed & wish to contribute, then I'm sure the dev team would love to hear from you.
