Title: Flexbackup to Desktop - Restore Errors
Post by: Ille DuPre on March 18, 2002, 04:17:04 PM
I have a clean install v5.1.2 I am trying to restore from a flexbackup to disk backup archive. But I keep getting errors doing either a full restore or selective restore.

I did do a selective restore using the following in extract-list:

/etc/e-smith/templates-custom/etc/cron.d/backup
/home/e-smith/files/ibays
/home/e-smith/files/users

It looks fine until it gets toward the end and I get:
gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
Changing volumes on pipe input?
abort? [yn] n
Changing volumes on pipe input?
abort? [yn] n
Changing volumes on pipe input?
abort? [yn]

It won't accept n so finally I put in y.

abort? [yn] y

Then:
I already tried it using a y to answer the next question that didn't work either.
dump core? [yn] n

Then:
End-of-tape encountered
Warning: End-of-input encountered while extracting
./home/e-smith/files/users/username/home/officexp.zip

I reboot after one of these restores and I still cannot access my email accounts, user home directories, users, groups. Although the files are there if I ssh into the server....I cannot see any of it in server-manager.

Thanks...any help is appreciated
