Good Day
I have 2 NIC with my machine in Server only Mode. The server will be a POP server for a number of Sites.
I would like to give 2 different IP address to the 2 NICs, that is they will be
NIC 1 : 10.0.0.1
NIC 2 : 10.0.0.2
Via NAT the 2 NIC will have different Public IP addresses eg
NIC 1 : 196.X.X.X
NIC 2 : 196.X.X.X
This enables the users on the outside world will be able to use the 2 different IP addresses to POP into the Server??
Is this possible?

Can nobody Help??
I am looking to add two NIC in server mode, so that I can have two different local networks....
The NAT ing I can sort out, but I need to know how to add two Network cards, without bonding them

It's not supported.
You can add additional networks in one of the server mgr panels

I wasnt clear enough I dont think.
We have a mailserver that has two NIC's , now I want to change it to a SME Server...
The current mail server has two NIC in it that have two Public IP addresses NAT ed to them eg
196.31.45.67 --------- 10.0.0.1 NIC 1
195.45.36.78 --------- 10.0.0.2 NIC 2
Now different customers use the two public IP addresses to POP their mail, the current mailserver is an old Red Hat 7 box that is struggling...I would like to use SME Server to update their mail server..
Is there no way to have to 2 local NIC..etc
Thx again.

What does it gain you/the situation to have 2 IPs when they both go to the same mail server anyway ?
Would it be a viable alternative to have external DNS records forward requests for both IPs to the router/sme server (using one of the IPs) ?

or simply NAT the two public adress to the same local adress thanks to the gateway...
