Have you set remote access setting to allow external managerment?
Log into server-manager and go to Security-Remote Access and scroll to the Remote Management section. You will need to put in the external network range you want to allow access to server-manager.
Next. mail.
Gp to Email section in server-manager and change the frist and third option settings ("Change Email access settings" and "change email reception settings")
Hope this works for you.

Have you already considered to achieve your task by using OVPN? It is easy to install - and it works perfect. E.g. yesterday I have installed a contrib on the SME7.2 via OVPN - no problem.
