Title: memory usage.

Dear all,

Everytime when i restart the server (newly installed SME7.2) and the antivirus scan (overnight) starts the cached will take all the memory of the machine.

does any body know why

the cpu spike is the antivirus that's running.

That's perfectly normal. It's not SME specific, nor clamav related, it's just the way the linux kernel manage the memory. As long as there's free memory, it'll be used for the cache (and the buffers, depening on the activity of the server). This improve the performances.

That's a  relief,

After all i expirienced with MS in the past i do not like to see the memory growing.
In windows that means it kills down the server.


I also noticed already that after 2 weeks running this server it does not slow down at all.

Hello,
which addon do you use to get this information (the mem-graph, system load-graph etc)?
I can´t find this addon.
