Title: Change default password requirements.
Post by: spyrule on August 23, 2007, 08:22:12 PM
Hello,

I was wondering if their is a way to change the requirements for passwords.
Specifically, I want to remove the requirement for a non-alphaneumeric character.

Is their a way to do this without having to re-compile stuff ('cause I have no clue how to do that!).

 Thank you in advance,

 Spyrule.

Thank you VERY VERY much.  I have read most of the documentation, however I guess I either forgot that I read this, or I missed it.

 Either way,  thank you again.

Spyrule (hopefully I'll be able to donate to SME soon).

I'm afraid there are some minor typos in that page, and the page is protected so I couldn't change it:

In the  "Changing User Passwords" section:

"...do this through their web browsers by visiting the URL www.yourdomain.xxx:User_Manual-password (where "www.yourdomain.xxx" is the web server name you entered into the server console). The staff at The Pagan Vegan would visit the URL www.tofu-dog.com:User_Manual-password ."

Should of course be www.yourdomain.xxx/user-password
