Hello,
I have looked around, and I think the answer is that it's currently not supported, but
is their a way to get php 5 and mysql 5 working on SME 7.x ?
Thank you again in advance,
spyrule.

That's correct SME Server 7.x does not support mysql 5 or php5, although people have upgraded to versions mysql 5 or php5 it may/will cause problems updating via yum...why do you feel you need mysql 5 or php5 ?
SME Server 8 which is in alpha does support mysql 5 and php5 (remember in ALPHA status)

mainly because I was hoping to start learning php 5 with the advanced OO capabilities.
This sounds stupid and off topic, but I just got phpmyadmin to work, and it tells me that mcrypt is missing.
Is this really important and if so, how do I install it (tried "php-mcrypt-4.3.9-3.2.1.i386.rpm", but it tells me it's missing dependencies,
libmcrypt.so.4)
Is their a good source to download and give php all the add-ons whether I need them now or not?
Thanks in advance.
