Title: create a local repository
Post by: bas on September 03, 2007, 04:54:43 PM
Who can help me to create an local repository?

We've got about 20 SME servers running and not all off them have access to the internet. The 18 server having access to internet all collect the same updates on their own. So i thought it must be possible to create a repository on a local server and configure all servers to update from that server.

Perhaps the wiki page about the mirrors (http://wiki.contribs.org/Mirrors) will help you get started. It contains at least a statement to synchronise the local copy with the version at the mirrors(s).

Take a look at these two url's,

http://sial.org/howto/yum/ (http://sial.org/howto/yum/)

http://www.charlescurley.com/yum/repository.html (http://www.charlescurley.com/yum/repository.html)

I think they will help you on the way.
