This seems odd but I have seen it several times on my two servers (SME 7.2 on dual 2.8 GHz Xeon with 2Gb RAM).
When clamd starts its weekly system scan it saturates the external network bandwidth. It also ran 19 hours scanning 15 Gb of data before I killed it.
Has anyone else seem this?
Is this normal? Do I need to open a bug report?
Thanks
Kevin

With the slow scanning, there is another topic on here that is addressing this issue. There is also a bug report for clam that has been raised in this regards.
As to the network saturation, the only thing that comes to mind is that clam may be attempting to scan a mounted network drive????

Why is it so hard to convince you folk to file bug reports? If it doesn't "just work", then open a bug report. Please.

I get your point Charlie. I just wasn't sure this was not intended functionality.
I search the bug tracker and post there.
Thanks

Charlie,
I appreciate that problems must be raised as a bug, I know I have done it myself and the developers have been great. In this case I think as pointed out in another thread that this may actually be an upstream bug with ClamAV itself and thus not a bug in SME.
Here is the topic that I am referring too: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=38333.0 (http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=38333.0)
