Title: Upgrade from 6.0.1 to 7.1 issues
Post by: AlexNet0 on September 17, 2007, 05:05:57 PM
Hello, I have upgraded via CD from SME 6.0.1 to 7.1, and when I booted back up after upgrade, I could no longer access server manager via browser, or any of the websites in any ibays.
I can still access via ssh and get to the server manager that way, but I can find nothing helpful to be able to access my content via web.

I have tried the fix described in http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=33171.0   but it did not solve my problem, even though it is the same problem that I am having.

Is there anything else I should try before dumping the install and re-installing?  I dont know whether or not a jump from 6.0.1 to 7.1 is too far to be successful.

thanks for any and all help

First thing, before you upgraded did you make sure all custom-templates were moved/removed and/or any additional contribs were uninstalled ? If so and you still have issue's please open a bug ticket telling us everything about the server history.

SME Server does not come with any contribs on a standard install.

Im not sure what custom templates are.

Custom Templates are custom work that someone can add a template for example custom templates are stored in...

/etc/e-smith/custom-templates

If you have no custom templates within that directory please open a bug ticket. Thanks,
