Title: Hylafax Error
Post by: Rick Evans on March 25, 2002, 10:15:26 PM
This is problem the wrong place to ask this, but I have a question concerning Hylafax and SME Server 5.1.2.

Every morning I get a email stating there was an error with Hylafax. The email reads:

Subject: errors rotating logs

Body:

errors occured while rotating /var/spool/fax/etc/xferfaxlog {

stat of /var/spool/fax/etc/xferfaxlog failed: No such file or directory

I check for the file on the server and it exists in /var/spool/hylafax/etc/xferfaxlog

I am running SME 5.1.2 and Hylafax 4.1

Any idea on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Rick

I had the same problem with hylafax. I found that its hylafax part of the configuration for logrotate is incorrect.

Modify the path in the file /etc/logrotate.d/hylafax to point to the correct path, which is usually /var/spool/hylafax/etc/xferfaxlog.

As an alternative, a hack would be to symbolic link /var/spool/hylafax to /var/spool/fax.

cheers,
