Title: Clamav and email
Post by: p-jones on September 26, 2007, 12:59:37 AM
My email clamav seems to have broken and I have been unable to repair it. SME7.2 with latest release of Schirrms fetchmail contrib. Mail is getting in OK and being held back at the virus scan stage. If I turn email virus scanning off, the mail is released (unscanned I guess)

Found these entries in the log

I am treating this as a breakage at this time because it has been working OK but if it is considered a bug, I will take it to the bug tracker.

I have done a reconfigure, been through the wiki regarding YUM and 7.2 upgrade and a few other things I found in the forums and bugtracker without success. I also copied a good spamassassin pluging from a good server. Makes me think the databases may be damaged  but I am not sure on how to repair. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
Peter

Check /var/log/clamd/current

"They" really do want you to open a bug - apparently the bug tracker is much easier for the developers to monitor, so if anyone tells you to do anything really stoopid they can intervene... and likewise, if the underlying problem is in SME somewhere, they can get it fixed...

Log says it is good. Will take it to the bugtracker.
