Title: Torrentflux can't DL big torrents
Post by: kumodo on September 29, 2007, 12:04:41 PM
Hi,

I follow and install the contrib about Torrentflux on a fresh installed SME7.2.  Everything seem working fine except big torrents can't DL (status keeps "connecting the peers") :-(.  I test with the 2.8GB Fedora 7 torrent (I believe there should be at least one seed) and the result is the same.  Small torrents (< 1GB) are ok and fast.  I have run other BT client on PC behind that SME gateway and no problem with DL.

This is my first experience about Torrentflux.  I am not sure whether it is setting problems of the contribs or SME or it is their limitations. :?:

Would you please share me your experience.  Thanks you very much.

I have had another problem - the torrent-file downloads to the SME server nicely, but when I want to download the file from the SME server to my work station, I have problems with really large files (> 1GB). The problem seems to be that the PHP-script is closed down by Apache, as I get this error message in "messages":
Code: [Select]
Sep 27 17:21:16 anton httpd: PHP Fatal error:  Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /opt/torrentflux/html/dir.php on line 123

that's possible

I symlink the download directory into an ibay
then use file management tools

the upgrade allows more liberal file permissions, set in the admin section
