i have successful install and sync my 2 hard-disk

But after i re-boot i got this message when i go to the mange disk redundancy
...
Install disks: hdb hda
Used disk: hdb

There is an unsed disk drive in the system. Do you wan to add it to the existing RAID array(s)?

ahkiat,

Your info isn't absolutely clear - proceeding maybe dangerous.

Please provide the full information you get
when you log into the SME as "admin"
and select topic 5 "Manage disk redundancy"

Please reread: http://wiki.contribs.org/Raid
(...using hda and hdb to form your Raid1 isn't a good idea since both devices are on a single ide channel)

Let us know which IDE devices you have (hdd type and size, interface they are on)

What (sme message) makes you believe/say:
Quote
i have successful install and sync my 2 hard-disk

Reinhold

Hi,

both hdd are identical, 60GB maxtor
i had retry and reinstall and i resync the disk

when i go to disk redundancy status, below is the full message:
================================================
Current RAID Status

Personalities : [raid]]
md2 : active raid 1 hdd2[1]
          58524672 blocks [2/1] [_U]

md1: active raid1 hda1[0]
         104320 blocks [2/1] [U_]

unused devices: <none>

The free disk count must be equal one.   <-----  meaning?

Manual intervention maybe required.       <------ meaning?

Current disk Status
Installed disks: hdd hda
Used disks: hdd hda
=================================================

how do i know if both disk are sync and are both working fine?

Did you ever have windows installed on  the drive ? if so take a look at that link above and have a read of the Reusing Hard Drives section.
