Title: Redirects, open_base dir quandry
Post by: bloodshoteye on October 11, 2007, 12:22:50 AM
Hi all, using SME Server 7.2

Apologies If this has been covered, however I've reached overload - I've read so many threads - over and over again - relating to redirects and PHP open_basedir that I've confused myself...
Please can someone clarify how I can achieve this:

I have sme-wordpress in /opt/wordpress & sme-gallery2 in /opt/gallery2.
I have successfully redirected http://mysite.com/wordpress to http://mysite.com (using a index.htm redirect in Primary.

I have installed the WPG2 plugin into Worpress.
I get this comment after trying the Gallery2 validation step:
"file /opt/gallery2/embed.php is restricted by PHP open_basedir"

Gallery2 is correctly installed as I can access it via http://mysite.com/gallery2
Would somebody please point me to/explain what the next steps are to embed Gallery2 into Wordpress in the above scenario?

Thanks a ton, in advance!

Enter "wordpress Gallery2" into search above
Select first item (http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=38549.0 (http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=38549.0))
Read last post
Action accordingly
Optionally, ask the author of the contrib to add an open_basedir parameter into the config

Good for you, TrevorB. I did what you suggested:
Code: [Select]
Enter "wordpress Gallery2" into search above
Select first item (http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=38549.0)
Read last post
Action accordingly
One (tiny) thing - I had to go up one level to the root of Contribs Forum and do the search from there.

Gallery embedded. Life goes on with a very big
