Title: virtual domain mail forward to remote mail server
Post by: akhilmathema on October 24, 2007, 06:41:37 AM
Hi,
I'm using SME 6 system, where I've created a new virtualdomain that has a external mail server. I've modified in the domain as
# /sbin/e-smith/db domain setprop my.virtual.domain MailServer remote.IP.of.mailserver
# /sbin/e-smith/signal-event domain-modify"

It didn't work. Further I tried as

# cat /etc/e-smith/templates-custom/var/qmail/control/smtproutes/15delegateMailServer
my.virtual.domain:[remote.IP.of.mailserver]
# /sbin/e-smith/signal-event email-update

This did not work either. Everytime I checked on
# cat /var/qmail/control/virtualdomain
my.virtual.domain:alias-localdelivery

I verified the configs with SME 7.X systems are they are pretty much different.
Can anyone help me on this issue?

Regards,
Akhil

I'm almost certain that functionality was not supported in sme6.x.

Surely it's easy enough for you to to upgrade to sme7.x and you will have that functionality then (and a whole lot more).
