Post by: peter2006 on October 26, 2007, 03:43:26 PM
Hi everybody

I am having problems, i received mail as if i send it to me for example:

from :pedro@domain.com
to:    pedro@domain.com

but it is SPAM.

WHAT I MUST TO DO TO PREVENT THAT.

THEY ARE USING ME AS A RELAY, I USE PORT 25 FOR MY INTERNAL INTERFACE AND 465 FOR MY EXTERNAL INTERFACE.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

HAVE A NICE DAY.

SME has several different spam fighting features but most of them are disabled by default so that users can get things up and running and see that *some* email comes & goes...

Once you're sure your DNS settings &c are configured correctly for email to flow properly, follow the instructions at http://wiki.contribs.org/Email#Setup_Blacklists_.26_Bayesian_Autolearning to enable spam filtering.

If you follow the instructions exactly you may end up with very aggressive DNSBL and RHSBL settings - you may want to do some more checking on how to configure these.
