Just a quick note to let you know that the Bristuff Kernel module rpm is now available for 2.6.9-55.0.9.  It's up on ftp://selintra.co.uk

You can yum localinstall or rpm -Uvh this rpm depending upon your preference.

This will run with the latest 7.2 yum updated kernel.

Removed my previous installation compeltely, installed the bristuffed version with sail 2.2.1 and the new kernel module(s) but could not get my card detected. A 'lsmod' showed me no modules where loaded. Issuing a modprobe zaphfc resulted in a kernel panic (uname -r => ).

I'll try to remove the lot and reinstall tomorrow... anything i might have missed?!

I'm assuming you installed the bristuff 1.4 version of asterisk as well?  Yes?

you should install...

bristuff-1.4.9-2.i686.rpm
bristuff-2.6.9-55.0.9-kmdl-1.4.4-2.i686.rpm
sail-2.2.1-537.noarch.rpm

here's ours...

bristuff-2.6.9-55.0.9-kmdl-1.4.4-2
bristuff-1.4.9-2
[root@switch ~]# rpm -q sail
sail-2.2.1-537
I have no idea why it should panic, our reference box is running just fine.   What does uname -r show?
what does ls /lib/modules/`uname -r`/misc show?

hi
i have one x100p installed
i have one brihfc installed

i have removed previus installation
i have installed in this order


       bristuff-1.4.9-2.i686.rpm
       bristuff-2.6.9-55.0.9-kmdl-1.4.4-2.i686.rpm
       sail-2.2.1-538.noarch.rpm

i have probed pci card in sail-pbx tag and the hfc card is present
i press commit taste
but not recognize my card

where is my error?

I think your problem is caused by a small (but significant) timing problem.

Do this...

/etc/init.d/sark start
Wait for this to finish.

Now do your PCIcard probe again.

You should now be OK

bristuff will not run with the smp kernel.

Restart your system with the EL kernel and you should be fine.
