Hi there.
I have recently discovered the SME product through reading material on the web and it seems like a very capable product. It will be far cheaper (and cleverer in many ways) than MS Windows SBS2003 with required CALs. This is all stating the obvious, but is the background for my query.
I am looking at installing two servers on two sites with SME Server but would like to ensure that the hardware I'm looking at purchasing is suitable. I'm actually looking at HP ML110 G4 units but would like to see the equivalent of an HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) before committing funds etc. Being a Linux OS it's probably pretty good with most hardware but would still like to check.
Can anybody point me in the right direction here please?
Greg

Welcome!
Here's the official word: http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:FAQ#Hardware_Compatibility_List
There's a link there to 'smolt' - http://smolt.contribs.org - you might want to check out http://smolt.contribs.org/stats.html to see the stats of the systems running SME 7.2 now.

Many thanks for that. Answered many questions at once.
Cheers,
Greg :)
