Title: Update Problem 7.1 to 7.2
Post by: stimzuk on November 05, 2007, 04:23:23 PM
I have started with 7.1 and want to continue with 7.2 .
I have downloaded "smeserver-7.2-i386.iso" and burned it on a CD. This seems to work because the CD boots but after serveral masks during installation i get the error message that there are no SME data on the Disk.
The system asks me to enter the SME CD but i have no other then burned a few minutes ago.

Can somebody help me?

You should be able to update using yum if you follow the instructions in http://wiki.contribs.org/Updating_to_SME_7.2#Yum_Update

Otherwise, it sounds like you should check the md5sum of the iso file you downloaded.

Did you run the CD Check and get a PASS ?

At what particular stage ? Did your cd find a previous version ? then you would have had 2 options to either Erase whole disk or upgrade previous version of 7.x.

Thanks, it work's now. I think it was a problem during burning the CD.
