I'm getting a few requirements coming through from customers who would like to have replicated SMEs, e.g.
Head Office - Master SME
Office A - Slave SME A
They would like the SME's to work in a replicated manner. I.e. if Master SME goes down, all services (including Internet DNS resolutions) would now be served from Slave SME A. Allowing remote clients to seemlessly still access services.
Is this possible? How much work is required to make it happen?
Many thanks in advance...

There have been a few topics in the forums in the past, I don't know the exact keywords but you might have a search for remote availability, fall over or something like that. I believe there even has been something mentioned about a package called heartbeat in combination with rsync, but I think it will not be that easy.

Perhaps this might help: http://www.howtoforge.com/high_availability_heartbeat_centos

Try: high availability. A fairly recent thread on this is HERE (http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=38430.0).
