Does anyone here know what changes I should make to the ks.cfg in the "bootnet.img" floppy in order to install SME 5 from a CDROM on our network shared via NFS?
I am intending to install SME5 in an old Compaq, it has two 1Gig SCSI drives so I will want to setup software RAID 1 also, Can anyone see me having any problems?
The SCSI controller is not going to be a problem (well supported under linux) neither is the built in Network card (AMD PCNET32)
I am afraid I dont have a SCSI CDROM to install from, hence the need for NFS.
Many thanks.

Have you tried the kickstart-howto (or is it a mini-howto; I forget) at linuxdoc.org?

Not yet.. Will go and have a look now :)
I didn't realise there was one...

I've installed by FTP (using the network boot floppy) with no issues. It prompts for the location of the sme package. Should do the same for NFS (the only thing I had to do was use static ips for the 2 boxes as I didn't have a DHCP server at the time). Have also done the 4.1.2 => 5.1.2 upgrade the same way (have no interest in putting a CDROM drive in the server)
Just give it a try.
