Title: [ANNOUNCE] smeserver-cacti
Post by: MasterSleepy on December 05, 2007, 08:12:00 PM
Hello all,

I've finished the update of cacti contrib for smeserver 7.x.

I made some test of migration from old contribs(0.8.6j) to new one (0.8.7a) and every things works fine.

You can find it here:
smeserver-cacti-0.8.7a-1.noarch.rpm (http://www.vanhees.cc/modules.php?op=modload&name=CmodsDownload&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=319&ttitle=smeserver-cacti-0.8.7a-1.noarch.rpm)

I've add a new page in the wiki for a short user manual:
http://wiki.contribs.org/Cacti (http://wiki.contribs.org/Cacti)

Of course I recommend this upgrade if you use old version.

Regards,
MasterSleepy.

Great contrib, the install was quick and easy. I do have a problem with the graphs not being displayed. All I see is a red x where the graphs supposed to be. Any idea why this is happening. This is on a clean 7.2 installation.

As an upgrade from the earlier contrib I had to copy in the install folder to make the upgrade work.
Have you come across this problem Masrter Sleepy?
The install program showed a lot of errors about the database not being updated, but everything seems to be working OK still.  8-)

Hello,

@billym:
Can you launch this command at command line as root:
Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/php /opt/cacti/poller.phpand send back the result if error appear.

@gippsweb:
I've tested upgrade procedure from a fresh install without any problem.
Is graph generation are OK?
Can you create new graph?

Regards.
MasterSleepy.

No errors from poller output
Graph generation appears fine
Haven't tried dreating any new graphs yet, trying to find something new to graph with it.

All in all it appears to be working fine. It was just a little disconcerting getting all the weird errors on an upgrade.
I didn't want to install fresh and lose all the history...
