Title: password issues
Post by: hescominsoon on December 06, 2007, 03:20:37 AM
I have my own randomly generated passwords but because they do not have a non-alphanumeric character they are being rejected.  How can i remove the password restrictions or modify them?

Do a search on the forum ... there are heaps of topics about it ... also there is a contrib that can help you as well.

As Tib said: Please search!
This is from the FAQ in the wiki: Password Strength checking (http://wiki.contribs.org/SME_Server:Documentation:FAQ#Password_Strength_Checking)

Consider to use a generator that generates passwords which pass the default strength setting. Have a look at dt-pw-generate in http://wiki.contribs.org/Dirty_Tools
