Are you referring to the Junk folder in your email client or the junkmail folder in the IMAP folders on your sme server ?
If there is no spam filter enabled on your server, then it cannot be moving mail to thr IMAP junkmail folder.

I suspect it's your email client that is moving messges to the junk folder.

Note that on sme server the IMAP junk folder's name is junkmail, not Junk.

Users are accessing mail through SME webmail we are not using any email clients. Mails are going in Junkmail. No spam filter is installed. Basic SME (without any additional contribs except with fetch mail) is installed

thanks

SME Server comes with a spamfilter installed. I am not sure if it is enabled by default (but I guess so). You can check that under the e-mail settings in the server-manager. If spam filtering is disable this should say so under the e-mail settings.

Well, webmail is a email client, so there may be settings in there that are having an effect. Look at webmail configuration on a per user basis.

You can check the sme servers spam filter settings and change them in the server manager Email panel.

To be sure of the actual db settings for the servers spam filter, check them using
config show spamassassin
