Title: Cannot logon with WinXP
Post by: Naim A on April 04, 2002, 10:19:08 AM
I have recently setup an SME server as a domain controller, but I cannot logon to it with a windows XP PRO workstation. I go through the network ID wizard, and it completes it successfully, but when I go to reboot and logon to the domain, I get an error message that says "cannot find computer account"...
Can anyone help me?

Try to give that logon domain directly under (my computers properties). When there setup domain name you will be asked login name to domain. Use only (admin) and give the admins passwd. if everything is allroght you will see welcome message. If not you probably get some kind of error. I just installed domain controller for Xp and i got it right.

there are a couple of registry entries required on your xp box before this will happen, do a search for 2k and xp domain logon and you will see it repeated many times
