Title: backing up PC's to SME?
Post by: pauljclarke on December 17, 2007, 10:44:35 PM
Hi,

Is there a way to back up my PC's (XP & Vista[Pha!]) to my SME box?

I'd like it to be on the fly - so spots a PC on the network and then looks for changed files and backes them up - or somthing like that. But main thing is that PC's don't have to be on over night or at a set time...

Thanks

Paul  :-?

It will do the job, if you map network drive to sme server and tick to syncronize

Here's a note on how to back up local windows shares using Affa: http://wiki.contribs.org/Backup_Windows_Computers_Using_Affa

(And here's a link to the main Affa documentation: http://wiki.contribs.org/Affa)
