Title: transformation masks, again!
Post by: del on December 19, 2007, 12:03:23 AM
Hi All,

I am trying to help my mate in the UK sort out a transformation mask for voipdiscount.com, they require that you dial: 00 + country code + area code + subscriber number and I am having trouble working out what should be what! There seems to be so many options in the UK that I am starting to believe that it's impossible to work out a satisfactory mask.
This what we would like to achieve:
1. Dial local numbers without the local area code (01905)
2. Dial national numbers with only the area code eg. 01543 or 020
3. Dial 0800, 0845, 0870 numbers
As far as I can see dialing internationally does not need a mask as 00 is the UK international access code so 001407xxxxxxx should work anyhow. If someone in the UK is using voipdiscount and has successfully done this would you mind sharing your mask? Tahnks.

Hi Selintra,

I will try that after the Christmas break, he is in Thailand at the moment and I am going to be busy with visitors from the UK, something to do the weather being a bit better here in Florida :D I don't fully understand how these masks work but I am trying to get my head around it. Thanks again for your help. I will let you know how I get on.

Regards,
