Title: forward mail for single domain
Post by: rshiras on December 23, 2007, 02:44:31 AM
I have 5 domains on SME Server release 7.1.3.  I want to forward mail to a Windows server so Exchange can handle it, but for just one of my domains.  I want my SME server to process the mail through SpamAssassin before forwarding it.

Will someone please tell me how?

Thanks I tried this:
  997  db domains setprop prestigerentalmgmt.com MailServer 216.231.34.206
  998  signal-event email-update
But I get this bounce message when I try to e-mail to that address:
<<
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at asdf.net.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

<me@prestigerentalmgmt.com>:
Sorry. Although I'm listed as a best-preference MX or A for that host, it isn't in my control/locals file, so I don't treat it as local. (#5.4.6)

What am I doing wrong?

The forwarding is still not working, and I wonder if anyone has any advice for me.
The messages are being bounced by my primary domain.  See the notes above.
Thanks in advance,
Rob
