Title: Roaming Profiiles - Missing Profiles Share?
Post by: bloodshoteye on January 20, 2008, 03:46:29 PM
Hello

Roaming profiles are enabled on a SME 7.3 installation, but fail using XP SP2 clients.
The profile directories exist in /home/e-smith/files/samba/profiles, are writable by the users, but remain empty.
These are the logon statements in smb.conf:
Quote
logon path = \\%L\Profiles\%U
logon drive = h:
logon home = \\%L\%U\._winprofile

Running samba's testparm shows no errors, however there is no [Profiles] share - could that be the reason?

Edit 5:10pm
This from /var/messages:
Quote
Jan 20 16:48:14 tincan smbd[6858]: [2008/01/20 16:48:14, 0] smbd/service.c:make_connection(1191)
Jan 20 16:48:14 tincan smbd[6858]:   tinprint (10.0.1.244) couldn't find service profiles
Looks like a missing Profiles share

Can anyone help with the syntax, please?

Thanks
