Hello i recently found a canon lbp 660 laser printer and wan't to add it to sme .
I have compiled the custom drivers for linux ( canon never made official drivers ).
But now how i will proceed for install it ???
Can someone help ?

I personally have never loaded drivers for any printer on SME ... simply use the spooling function of SME and have the drivers loaded on the the Windoze workstations have set the printer up as a Network Printer pointing to the port on the SME server where you have set the printer up and (obviously) attached it to the SME.
Works very well.

ok i have try it but windows can't connect to the printer :(( (there is a problem)
My lpb 660 is a old printer that use windows printing system !!!
But there is some modified driver that do the trick for installing it on linux.
So i think that if i didn't installed the driver the printer will not work

Any brand/model of printer that uses Windows processing power, will not work with sme or Linux or any other operating system (than Windows).
Get a new "standard" printer.

That´s not 100% true... there are live to WinPrinters inside Linuxworld: linuxprinting.org + CUPS.
There are a lot of work but you can be able to put your printer to work (see http://openprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Canon-LBP-660)
Just guidelines:
1) Install CUPS on SMESERVER (search here... there are howtos)
2) Install printer with driver from URL above
3) Be happy (if you´re lucky)
