Title: Halflife server not visible outside network
Post by: beakersloco on January 26, 2008, 04:40:00 AM
I have followed the how to (http://wiki.contribs.org/Half-Life_Dedicated_Server) but the server is not visible outside my network. Any ideas on how to fix this ?  Its running on my SMe server which is running in server and gateway mode.  How would I bind it my dns name/external IP ?

I am dhcp and have a dns name that allows access to my sme server from the internet.

Yes , you still have to forward the ports to your localhost(local i.p of sme)

its a steam version so it auth's with the key system online, only valid keys work.
if you want the "other" older version you will need to search for a non steam server install.
and thats not a subject we would post about here.
