Title: Need to bypass squid/proxy when accessing some sites, pls tell me how to do it?
Post by: albatroz on January 28, 2008, 01:31:55 AM
I am in a situation where I need to bypass the Squid proxy for accessing some websites.
In my search I found this WIKI article http://bugs.contribs.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2374
and these other notes related to IPCOP...
http://www.squid-cache.org/mail-archive/squid-users/200502/0716.html
http://www.firewall.cx/ftopict-4068.html

However the SME article only work for versions 7.x and above, but I need a solution for SME version
5.6 (E-Smith). Any ideas?

The easiest solution is probably an upgrade to sme7.3
That old 5.6 box is clearly connected to the Internet, so there are bound to be some security flaws, and for that reason alone you should upgrade.

Hello,
I finally I upgraded to 7.3, but the issue remains, is there a simple/unique source to a documentation that works?

If you read the FAQ (linked at top of forums) you would find this
