Hello to all users of SME Server.
It has been temporarily mounted an online system translation, in order to fully translate console files of SME Distribution.
To this must be addressed to:
http://www.unixlan.com.ar:8888
Register and then with your user name in order to translate the un-translated files. For the moment are only available console files. For this access:
http://www.unixlan.com.ar:8888/projects/sme7bc/
And then to the desired language to be translated.
Once translated each file can be downloaded either PO or MO of the whole language and send them through a new bug:
http://bugs.contribs.org/
Thank you for your participation
Warning! This system is in alpha stage. Please, read http://wiki.contribs.org/Talk:Pootle#The_problem

5 minutes he said....
Full translation of the dutch section took me almost 3 hours. But... it's worth it.

Will the person that is doublechecking the dutch section be more consistent pls. it's "je" or "uw" not a combination of both for the bunch.

Are these translations based on what I posted here in the bugtracker as an attachement???

I' ll keep "je" and "uw" in mind.

Sky,
I have been busy today with translating 2900+ words from english to dutch. Don't think we're talking about the same. You can check for yourself ofcourse. http://www.unixlan.com.ar:8888/nl/sme7bc/

Ok. Congratulations for your hard work. Looks like we did some double work. You can submit the po files to the bugzilla link I provided in my previous post.
When you post these files I can review them.
Again thanx for the hard work!

Sky,
Done. Now we'll have to wait for the next sets to be translated. Then we're in business maybe.

You are quite right, I started off, but quicky decided I had to change to much for the time I had available, considering that the additions might not even make it to the SME Server code as the server is a test setup and is far from stable and is not at all tied into the current build system what so ever.
One of the items the server is missing in my opinion is a history of changes and stating who overruled changes, AFAIK there is no option for that at the moment, I am thinking analogue to the change log off a wiki.

Cactus,
So it was you interfering my hard labour :p
I do suggest to keep pootle for this kind of work but best would be to have a review all together that is interested to do so. Now we know already that there is a group of 3 people active in this field.
A group of max. 5 people should be able to pull this off and keep on pushing in the same NFR/Bug report and ofcourse keep up2date with the newer versions but then the biggest amount of work has been done already. Adopting dutch into SME will be (hopefully) reality then.
I'm in. Who will join in (tasks : translate & review) ?

No Indonesian translation?
Anybody in this forum interested in id (Indonesian) translation?

ME 2!
I checked a couple of lines yesterday and in some translations you forgot a word etc...
What do you prefer? I change the lines in pootle? Or I check fuzzy with those sentences?
I can also just change your translations (from your attachement) with a po program but in that way we both don't know how far we are and what we have changed...

Sky,
I think the best option to use is pootle. It's public and people can help reviewing. It's a lot of work. Once we all agree we can round it up and replace the file I placed in your bug/NFR report. Sounds logical ?

Harro,
I'll review your translations through pootle. If I find missing words, wrong sentences I'll correct them.
Maybe from now on it's best to communicate about this topic through the bugtracker.

Reviewed the changes. Adopted most of it. Changed a few things here and there myself. Discovered some missing spaces. Took out some inconsistent issues and replaced all JE occurances with U or UW.
Time for a 2nd review maybe ?

Harro,
I'll review the translations this evening (not much spare time now). I'll use the same method as described in the bugtracker by me.

Try to use the bugtracker for communication about the translations.

I don't know if you know Pootle has an option named "View Suggestions" after press "Show Editing Functions". For dutch, directly at http://www.unixlan.com.ar:8888/nl/sme7bc/translate.html?review=1&editing=1&has-suggestion=1
