Title: Cant logon to NT SBS behind SME4 via PPTP, but can ping it

Hi, well i have RTFM'd and searched the fourm for hours and im still at a loss what i  havent got right.

I have a win 98 machine connected to the net via optus cable, and a SME 4 ... with a NT 4 SBS machine behind it in the office.

Got PPTP to work lovely to the SMe machine, and can ping the NT box, but how the hell can i access the data etc, I tried having the same login with the 98 machine, but that didint seem to work either!

Help please ?

In the Win98 DUN entry for the VPN connection, do you have it set to logon to the network?  When I PPTP into our SME, the NT PDC behind it pops up a network logon box, just as if I were actually on the LAN.
