Title: Help with Password for LDAP access
Post by: jeff.p on February 19, 2008, 03:58:26 AM
Since upgrading to 7.3 using Thunderbird as a mail client it requires a ldap password to access the email addresses. Is there a way to turn off this need for a password as the ldap is only required on local networks. This specifically applies to the admin account but the admin account password does not suffice the server. Any help would be appreciated.

bump - we are getting this too....

EDIT - Damn, why do you always find the answer 5 minutes _after_ you post ?!?!?!
In Thunderbird, when creating the ldap lookup directory server, do NOT put anything in the "Bind DN" field.
Works fine now - sans password.
