Title: Can NFSv4 run on SME 7.3 ??
Post by: paulfung on February 24, 2008, 08:48:17 AM
Just gone throuth this :

http://www.vanemery.com/Linux/NFSv4/NFSv4-no-rpcsec.html

As per my limited info, the old NFS is not a secured solution on SME server.

But how about NFSv4, anyone got an idea on this ro try it in SME (Say 7.3) ?

I saw smeserver-nfs in the smecontribs but didn't find any good howtos yet.

For NFSV4 is using TCP als default instead of UDP as in former versions, this could bee a nice service instead of samba.
