Title: Will QuickBooks Enterprise Edition run on SME 7.1.3?
Post by: walterbyrd on February 29, 2008, 12:30:08 AM
I have a potential client who can not get QBEE to install on SME 7.1.3. She said she thought it was the wrong Linux version. Any ideas?

I'm reasonably sure this was answered in the forums previously, so search.

QuickBooks Enterprise doesn't actually install on a Linux Server, are you talking about the "Linux Database Server Manager"?  If so, what version?

Their website states it is only tested on Open SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10.2 Kernel 2.6.9 and
Fedora 6.0 (RedHat) Kernel 2.6.18.

I downloaded and test installed 8.0 on SME 7.3 and it installs and starts without any complaints but without the client side software I couldn't begin to tell you if it works.  Do you have the client side software?

Did anyone confirm the QB DBManager working on SME 7.x?
