Title: How to open VPN outbound port 1723
Post by: jabell on March 03, 2008, 01:08:10 PM
I support a small office with an SME server7, and I have been asked to:-
- allow VPN outbound port 1723
- allow Windows VPN client.
so that one of the users there can access an external corporate intranet.

I looked at port forwarding in the Access Manager, but that seems to be directed at incoming traffic to a specific internal PC.
Does anyone have or know of a step-by-step procedure for a novice to do this?
thanks
John

Hi

I guess you are talking about a server-gateway setup.

you don't need to open anything: outbound connections are always allowed..

just take care of the remote lan ip addresses.. I mean: if you lan is 192.168.1.X, remote one must be different for vpn to work.

HTH
