Title: Spoofing my email domain - Am I missing a configuration
Post by: jfarschman on March 03, 2008, 05:52:41 PM
Hello,

I can send email from an outside email relay (a friends server) and spoof my server and the messages get through.  Perhaps I have things misconfigured, but here is what I'm doing

OutsideServer.com --- Internet ----- SME (mydomain.com)

  FROM: spoofer@mydomain.com
  TO: realuser@mydomain.com
  RELAY: outsideserver.com

Oh... and I'm not letting the proxy on my domain.com intercept things because I'm physically sitting in the outsideserver.com network.

It seems like this never happened before the 7.3 upgrade, but then spammers change the modus operandi all the time.  Am I misconfigured?
