Title: mail@domain.com
Post by: munwin on March 06, 2008, 01:06:11 AM
I have just setup SME with a view to migrating from our current mail server. All good so far, except....
I want to forward any mail to mail@ourdomain.com to a particular user, however, when I try to create an account or group with a name of mail, I get the response:
Quote
Error: the account "mail" can't be created because there is already a system account of that name.
OK, so it's an account on the system, fine, but how do I tell it to forward mail, when it doesn't appear in the Users list in the Server Manager ??? I am having the same problem with the "operator" account. We need these addresses to be able to receive email...

Any help much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

This can be done in the Pseudonyms panel of the server-manager.

e.g you create a pseudonym 'mail@domain.com' or 'mail@virtual-domain.com' and point it at the user you want to get the emails.

Note: The pseudonym name must be the full email address (eg. mail@ourdomain.com)
