Title: Network Internet access
Post by: Randall on April 15, 2002, 10:21:48 PM
there are three machines on this network. the SME machine is used as a firewall and server. while one maachine connects to the internet the second machine will not. all other functions seem to work fine. the machines are connected through a hub. with the print spooler on the server/firewall. one machine is within 6 feet of the server but the other machine is just over 50 feet away. I have gone through all of the settings I can think of but to no avail.. what am I doing wrong?
thank you for any help you can giveme.

Hello randall,

First a few questions:

Can you ping the server from the second computer.

Then check your cable just to put the computer next the hub whith a short cable.

Have you set the TCP/IP correct.
Ip and mask i think so but also the gateway to the Server ip.

Dont have make proxy settings on the second computer

Good luck

Johan
