Post by: Royd on March 23, 2008, 11:28:13 PM
Hi All
When I tried to shut down Clamd I get the message. ERROR: Socket File /var/clamav/clamd.socket is in use by another process. What do I do now to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance.

What command did you use to shut it down? Perhaps it will not shut down as you might have e-mail virus scanning enabled.

Royd

Did you also disable virus scanning in the server manager Email panel ?

To check the status
sv s /service/clamd

To stop
sv d /service/clamd

To disable
config setprop clamd disabled
signal-event email-update
