Is it possible to enable logins for users, using "accountname@domain.com" rather than just "accountname" ?
We have ~100 users and wish to migrate them to SME, but their clients (Outlook Express and Thunderbird) already use the format of "accountname@domain.com", and we do _not_ wish to have to change this (for reasons other than we are lazy !!!).
Thanks in advance,
Mark.

Account names must start with a lower case letter and contain only lower case letters, numbers, hyphens, periods and underscores.

You can not so I guess you will have to make a concession here, perhaps you can elaborate on the reasons why you are not willing this. There a plenty cleaver minds in the forums, perhaps we can help you solve the other issues that are rising if you do change the way your users need to login.

Logon details are hard coded into a program (do _not_ ask).
Will have to go back to the program writers and ask if it can be changed.
If not - no SME for us :-(

Have spoken to the (new) developers - no go.
We cannot change the credentials used by the (really REALLY badly designed) program.
Unless we can work out some way to have username@domain.com used for a logon to SME, we can't use it.
Anyone have ANY ideas about this ?
Even using another server to POP to, first _might_ be OK...
Anyone, Anyone, Bueller, Bueller ?!?!?
TIA,
Mark.
