Title: Last Update : Trouble Display accentuated characters in control panel
Post by: beckynet on April 20, 2008, 11:25:05 AM
I've done the last smeupdates this morning.

And now I got trouble with display of accentuated characters in the control panel.

And some contribs display internal server error.

I received the following error during this update process with Yum

not well-formed (invalid token) at line 5, column 29, byte 99 at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/XML/Parser.pm line 187

Thanks to help me

Olivier

That's due to the above.

Very good. Hopefully he will fix things, but I am not sure he might be the only cause of the problem. Is that the only contrib you installed?

I have notified the author of Fetchmail a few moments ago.

There are 2 different versions of the fetchmail contrib now. One for UTF-8 and one for ISO-8859-1.
Information:
http://www.schirrms.net/sme/SMEFetchMail.php#SME-UTF-8 (http://www.schirrms.net/sme/SMEFetchMail.php#SME-UTF-8)
And download:

Thanks, excellent Schirrms made changes that quickly... still I wish he would import his contribs in CVS and by that way into SME Contribs.

Yes, it's the only contrib installed here.

Thanks to all

The trouble has begin after install this contribs with this method :

Quote

db yum_repositories set atrpms repository \
 BaseURL http://dl.atrpms.net/el4-i386/atrpms/stable \
 EnableGroups no \
 GPGCheck yes \
 GPGKey http://ATrpms.net/RPM-GPG-KEY.atrpms \
Name 'Fedora Core - ATrpms' \
 Visible yes \
 status disabled

expand-template /etc/yum.conf

yum install zaptel libpri asterisk asterisk-addons zaptel-kmdl-`uname -r` --enablerepo=atrpms

yum localinstall sail*

signal-event post-upgrade; signal-event reboot

After install this contribs I receive a warning error message :

only V3 signatures can be verified, skipping V4 signature or something else.

I've corrected the trouble with a reinstall of smeserver-yum.

Why It's not possible to Test V3 and V4 signature at the same time ?

Last Info : All run find if a set my browser to display english in place of french.

I have been watching these issues as I have sme7admin contrib on all my servers. This contrib is listed as not updated in the wiki. I am running everything on english and browsers are set to english.

Does the English settings overcome the UTF-8 problem or do I need to wait for the sme7admin contrib to be updated before I apply the updates to the server?

beckynet, I hope I am not hijacking your thread but would like to keep all this information in one place if possible

The correct "one place" is the bug tracker. That's where things actually get diagnosed, fixed, verified and released as updates.

I agree with CharlieBrady. We need this in the bugtracker. I am personally not having a problem at this point as I have not yet applied the updates and do not have a test server just now to do it on. Will some of you please add to the bug on this, the link is in Byte's post above

This translation issue is known but if you want things fixed on a punked up server you need Dev/Coder help and that comes from the bugtracker.......................
