Title: VPN to Samba, not web browseing
Post by: Smitro on April 26, 2008, 12:25:18 AM
Hi all,

When my users login via VPN, they try and browse the internet. Because the VPN is open all this traffic goes through my server. That part doesn't bother me, but there is complaints of internet being slow or not working when connected. Is there a way that there local internet connection can be used for just web browseing, or will they need to keep disconnecting and reconnecting when they want to use the internet?

Maybe, is there an option to use the Local network primarily, and if it can't be found on their local network, use the VPN?

When you set the VPN Connection up in Windows

In the Networking/TCP/IP/Prompteries/Advanced

remove the Use default gateway on the remote network
