Title: VPN Win95/98 to SME
Post by: Matthias Redl on April 23, 2002, 05:56:27 PM
Hi!

Did anybody manage to establish a VPN Connection to SME 5.1 from a Windows 95/98 Computer?

If yes, what upgrades were necessary to make it work. We could connect from WinXP, Win2000 SP2 and Win ME. Win95/98 connects and immediatly disconnects again.

Thanks,
Matthias

Win 95/98 most likely needs to be upgraded to dun1.4. This upgrade enables 128-bit encryption.

I've had it working on both 95 and 98SE. Even after installing DUN 1.4, I still ran into the problem sometimes. Uninstalling software firewalls on the client and/or reinstalling DUN 1.4 seemed to fix any problems I had.
